2006-2007 - "Labor market and social dialogue in Romania"

A project implemented by ADO SAH ROM and run jointly with six non-governmental and trade union organizations members of REPER Network and three trade union organizations  (The National Union Confederation Cartel ALFA, The Federation of Free Trade Unions in Chemistry and Petrochemistry and The Trade Union Federation of Steelworkers METAROM ) and an employers organizations (The Employers' Association of the Chemistry and Petrochemistry Industry- FEPACHIM).

The general objectives of the projects:

• To contribute to increasing the employment rate in five towns of Romania
• To contribute to the improvement of the quality and of the outcomes of the social dialogue at a macro level.

Total budget: 870,000 CHF

2007 - The Project "Socially responsible restructuring in the countries in accession - promotion of the role of social partners in anticipating and accompanying consequences at a regional level"

Objectives:

The project is aimed at strengthening the role of the social partners (and, generally, of the stakeholders) in Romania and Bulgaria in order to anticipate and accompany the social consequences of restructuring, by sharing the experiences and expertise with the social partners and stakeholders in the existing Member States (old and new). The project has in view:

• To render the local social partners aware of the opportunities for finding solutions to cases of restructuring and for promotion of knowledge on good practices in the management of restructuring;
• To promote dialogue among the social partners (and the stakeholders) and multiply examples of good practices and competence in the field; this dialogue will engage the players in the discussion on the challenges and opportunities for the regional social partners, in the context of restructuring.

Partners:

The European University for Studies in the Field of Labor (ADUET) of France and the Foundation for Advanced Social Trust (FAST) Bulgaria (ADUET being the main applicant).

Total budget: 124.540,93 Euro

The European Commission as part of the budget line 04.03.03.01 "Industrial relations and social dialogue".

2007 - The Project "REPER networking Europe"

Purpose:

The purpose of the project is to increase the capacity of the REPER network to actively collaborate with other European organizations/networks and with national stakeholders and to responsibly and legitimately assume themselves the role of influencing the public policies on the labour market.

Partners:

The project is run by the Pro Women Foundation of Iasi, in partnership with ADO SAH ROM.

Total budget: 37,250 Euro

Funders:

The European Union, through the Phare program, the Civil Society, Component 1 - the development of the NGO sector.

Previous projects:

"The labor market and the modernization of trade unions", 2003-2005, phase II, a program amounting to 1.5 million Swiss francs, financed by the Swisss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Swiss Labor Assistance.

"The labor force market and the modernization of trade unions", 2000-2003, a 1.8 million Swiss francs program, financed by the Swiss Agency for development and Cooperation and Swiss Labor Assistance and run in partnership with non-governmental organizations and trade unions of Hunedoara, Campia Turzii, Iasi, Roman, Targoviste and Bucharest.

"Humanitarian aid for the areas affected by floods", 2001-2002, a project totalling 80,000 de Swiss francs, financed by Gluckskette and Swiss Labor Assistance and run in the counties of  Suceava and Constanta.
